Very skilled Frontend Developer

Who we are:

PestScan creates and services software for the Pest control sector. Started in 2009, we really kicked off in 2014 and have grown very rapidly since in every way. We now service almost 400 companies in over 30 different countries on all continents, the most important ones being the Benelux, Germany, France, Scandinavia, and the UK.

The software is composed of an app that technicians use to register pest activity and incidences, a web-based admin portal for customer management, planning and invoicing and finally a customer portal for reporting to the end customer.

Our niche is the wonderful world of pest control. Currently, this world is in fast transition away from toxic extermination and toward prevention of pests (IPM) and if they occur, controlling them in an animal friendly and ecological way. PestScan offers exactly those services needed to facilitate this transition.

Your assignment:
Our software has been expanding in functionality since its conception and we have now come to the point where it requires a redesign, both visually and technically. In order to start this project, we wish to complete our team with a confident front-end developer who can take care of the project of a new web-based application. The project: What has not been decided yet is anything regarding the makeup of the new web-based application, other than that it will talk with a http service in order to access and mutate data. But we are happy to let you take the lead regarding the choose of the framework that will be used. Currently the functionalities we provide to our customers work well, they do what they need to do. However, in certain areas they lack intuitive user interaction or require many clicks to get something done. Since we are going to redo everything (module by module), it is a good opportunity to redesign the user experience. The abstract workflow with the product owner will be similar to his: a functional change request is made, and you take your time to design a mock-up page as a proposal to resolve the change request. The product owner either approves or opens a discussion until satisfied, then actual development starts based on functional change and design. In this process, your design and subsequent new communicated needs will result in requirements for the services that you use to communicate with the back end.
